London College of Science and Technology has given the recognition of its student union and is committed to acknowledge the welfare of students.

TEACHING

All full-time students are expected to attend daytime classes for a minimum of 15 hours per week from Monday to Friday plus assignments (6-9 hrs.) However, the College reserves the right to alter dates in order to facilitate or improve the provision of the course and its examinations. Any such changes will not affect the College regulations.

BOOKS & STATIONERY

The College provides students, where applicable, with the relevant course materials. Students are expected to buy and bring textbooks and other course materials forming an essential part of class work to all of their lessons.
EXAMINATION ENTRY
Students are entered for examinations only if their attendance is not less than 85% of the total and they are recommended by the Head of Department. Though the College informs, advises and assists students in examination entry procedure, it is entirely the students’ responsibility to register with the examination bodies, as Student Members and to register for examinations in good time. All examination fees and relavant membership fees must be paid by the student . LCST does not take any responsibility for student's application for registration, exemptions and examination entries.

ATTENDANCE

Overseas students on a student visa are required to attend a full-time course of a minimum of 15 hours per week day-time study. The college is unable to provide attendance certificates to students whose attendance in class is less than 80%. Absences through ill health must be supported by a Medical Certificate.

The college will not facilitate any student who is in breach of the Immigration Rules. If a student is required by the Home Office to leave the U.K. because of non/poor attendance, or due to any breach of law, tuition fees paid will not be refundable.

PUNCTUALITY

It is the student's responsibility to ensure that external examination entries are submitted in time to the appropriate examining body and that Registration/Examination fees for Examinations Boards are fully paid.

CONDUCT

LCST fosters a spirit of honesty and integrity. Students at LCST are responsible for following accepted standards of academic integrity. Distance learning programs require a higher level of self-monitoring with regard to academic integrity.

All students are required to sign a statement of academic integrity as part of the enrolment process. Any work submitted by a student must represent original work produced by that student. All sources used must be documented through acceptable scholarly references and citations, and the extent to which the sources have been used must be apparent to the reader.

Students found guilty of academic dishonesty or plagiarism will be liable for sanctions, which may include dismissal from the LCST
